The Haywards Heath & District branch of the u3a was formed back in 1991. At the original meeting, just 17 people attended to discuss the concept and put together the first Committee. The first meeting of the HHU3A was on the 29th March 1991. By January 1992 there were 122 members and 20 groups.
Today we have about 1,000 members and run some 80+ groups – some groups have survived since inception back in 1991 moving through numerous members and convenors, transformations and, in some cases, branching out into Groups 1, 2 and 3 because of increasing demand from members.
We have a very diverse selection of Groups for our members to attend which reflect current interests and these continue to evolve.
