On October 9th we held our AGM at Cuckfield Baptist Church. 43 members attended in person and there were 78 proxy votes from a total of 921 members. This quorum enabled the passing of the 3 substantive motions almost unanimously. The Chairman gave a report on the activities of Haywards Heath u3a in the previous year. The picture was positive in terms of finances, membership and the variety of events. Several new groups have formed during the year and it is hoped that this trend continues.

The meeting ended with a fascinating talk by Carole Andrews on "Piltdown Man - Missing Link or Fake".
