The Haywards Heath & District AGM took place at the Wesley Hall on Friday, 2nd October. An impressive turnout by our members ensured that the necessary quorum with 140 votes cast was achieved from a total membership of 939. All four substantive motions were passed unanimously including the change to our Constitution which enabled longer terms of office to be implemented. The Chairman, Philip Metherell, then gave a presentation outlining the considerable successes of the past year and encouraged members to be more active in the running of the Committee and the Interest Groups.  When the formal part of the meeting concluded our speaker, Mark Goldstein, of the Co-op Legal team then gave a very interesting talk on how to ensure that our various assets go to where we want them to go, upon our eventual demise.
